Updates
Posted on Apr 1st, 2024
- A crossing walk has been approved for Millwood/Boyce and a contractor has been awarded. The township expects the work to be completed over the summer but no specific date has been scheduled yet.
- The township is working on a safety project with PennDOT that includes manhole adjustments, guardrail improvements, and potentially re-striping Boyce road by Thorntree. The township has relayed some of the traffic concerns there and PennDOT is investigating. We have requested another safety assessment with PennDOT on the corner of Boyce and Millwood due to another recent car accident.
- Upper St. Clair is in the process of developing a comprehensive plan for our next 10 years. The first draft has been completed and they are working through comments to get a second draft. At that time, it will be available on their website. There will be an open house on March 26th at 6pm at the C&RC. The consulting firm working on the plan will do a presentation and take any feedback/questions before a final plan is made.
- Additional funds for the Morton field complex have been approved for finishes including goal posts and benches. The ribbon cutting ceremony has not been scheduled yet but they expect it will be in the next month or two.
- The 6 acres between the post office and Marmion Field has been purchased by the township. There are no plans currently for development.
